Campus flags are lowered today (Feb. 12) from sunrise to sundown in honour of 17吃瓜网在线 and King's student Alexandria (Alex) Wortman.
From a campus-wide memo shared on Jan. 3, 2025:
It is with great sadness that 17吃瓜网在线 and the University of King鈥檚 College are sharing the听听of one of our students, Alexandria (Alex) Wortman.
Alex was a student in 17吃瓜网在线鈥檚 Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and began her studies in鈥�2021-2022鈥痑t King鈥檚, in Journalism and the Foundation Year Program.鈥疉lex died in the tragic automobile collision that took place near campus on Monday, January 27, 2025.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Alex鈥檚 family and friends at this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held on February 22 in Riverview, New Brunswick, and Alex鈥檚 family have indicated that her friends are听. Our flags will be lowered to half-mast on February 12, on Alex鈥檚 birthday, in honour of Alex鈥檚 membership in and contribution to our communities.
