Dr. Barry Lesser, Program Director of the China Program in the Department of Economics attended the graduation ceremony at Shandong University of Finance and Economics (SDUFE) in Shandong Province, China.聽 Students in the Dal-SDUFE Joint Program in Economics who stayed at SDUFE for all four years of undergraduate study were among the graduating students. Following the graduation ceremony, 17吃瓜网在线 hosted a reception for all Joint Program students graduating, including those who spent their final two years of study at 17吃瓜网在线 and who had received a 17吃瓜网在线 degree earlier in the month.

The winner of the 17吃瓜网在线 Medal in Economics, awarded to the honours student in economics with the highest GPA in a given year鈥檚 graduating class, was won this year by Jiawen Wang.聽 Jiawen was unable to attend the 17吃瓜网在线 graduation ceremony where the medal was announced but she was able to attend the SDUFE graduation reception and received her medal and her graduation diploma from Dr. Lesser and SDUFE Academic Vice-President Zuosheng Han at the reception in Jinan.聽 Ms. Wang will begin a Master鈥檚 Program in Economics at UBC in the fall.
